Luke Menard started singing when he was a freshman in high school. He always enjoyed listening to the sounds of a cappella groups such as Take 6 and Rockapella, but never imagined he would be making those sounds for a living. He played the violin for 6 years as a child and now that he sings a cappella, he only imitates with his voice what a violin might sound like. It was great training. He enjoys traveling with Chapter 6 throughout the year although he has been jaded when his family asks him to go on vacation. His idea of a good vacation is being at home for at least one week, watching movies on surround sound, making smoothies, working out at the same gym and sleeping in his own bed as he falls asleep playing Xbox. Luke has been married for 4 years to his beautiful wife Lara. Luke and Lara met in college before he even joined Chapter 6. Lara has experienced the ups and downs of being married to a full time traveling a cappella musician and wishes she had a dog to entertain her while Luke is traveling. Lara can be seen performing at theatres across the country throughout the year as well as with the Radio City Rockettes during the Christmas season.
